The seven things engineers and procurement teams want answered before they send a drawing to a shop in China.
Every drawing gets a DFM (design for manufacturability) review before we quote — at no charge. We check geometry, wall thickness, corner radii, thread depths, and whether your tolerances are actually achievable at your quantity, and we flag problems in writing within 24 hours. You find out that a wall is too thin or a tolerance doubles the cost before you commit, not after the parts arrive.
A full dimensional inspection report and material certificates from the mill travel with every shipment. CMM data is available for critical features, and first article inspection (FAI) in AS9102 format is available on request. Every new part gets a first article inspection before the batch runs.
Tell us your compliance requirements at the RFQ stage. Material certificates are supplied as standard, and for project-specific declarations (RoHS, REACH, food-contact, or medical documentation) we confirm with the material supplier what can be provided before you place the order — so there are no surprises at customs or at your incoming inspection.
Every part is inspected before it ships, and the inspection record stays with your order. If you find a discrepancy, send us the measurement data and photos — we review it against the drawing and our inspection record and come back to you within one business day with what we found and how we will resolve it.
Prototypes and small batches ship in 3–15 days; rush prototypes in 48–72 hours. Production runs take 15–25 days depending on complexity and volume. Quotes come back within 24 hours, so you know the price and the lead time on the same day you send the drawing.
There is no minimum. A single prototype is a normal job for us, and we machine the same part at 10,000+ pieces. You do not have to buy a batch you do not need to get a shop's attention.
Direct-from-factory pricing from China typically runs 35–50% below US and EU shops for equivalent work at production quantities. The saving comes from supply chain density — material, anodizing, and heat treatment are all within 50 km of our floor — and from multi-axis capacity, not from cutting corners on inspection. The inspection and documentation package is the same one we would send a medical or aerospace customer.
